Photograph by Jeri Koegel The combination of different color paint with different stone surfaces adds a casual feel to this Brick Floor kitchen
what is the flooring? is it real brick? thanks!

where can I purchase these bricks? Is there a name or color of
I assumed this brick was the real McCoy. I would surprised to hear it is another type of surface. Do tell?
Love the brick on the floor

Despite the hard surface, bricks (especially old ones) are quite porous and must be sealed often to protect against stains and wear. Laid in a herringbone pattern, this brick floor provides visual interest and

Cool. They make thin brick that might work.
we create a handmade thin brick tile that will give you a similar look. Our standard thickness is 1/2 inch, and we have various sizes, textures and edges. Brick to hard wood entry way
Pros of Brick Flooring• Design flexibility. As with tile, brick's modular nature lends itself to an infinite variety of patterns. Running bond (staggered), basket weave, herringbone and others are classics, but you can create a custom motif or a mosaic-style treatment. Brick also lends itself well to

I have always loved brick in the kitchen especially creating a nook for the stove
In Texas brick homes are common, because the material is readily available locally and can stand up to the harsh climate. The material is often carried in from the outside, which creates connections between the exterior and interior architecture. It’s not uncommon to see whole bricks used in Texas interiors

perfect example of brick considered sinful to paint. Gray-toned brick is a favorite for designers since it often serves as a springboard for sophisticated palettes. I have a similar scenario - would you be willing to correspond with me off line and answer a few questions about my bathroom
actually was taken from the basketweave sheets that are on the floor. I didn't know exactly what I wanted on the backsplash, and had extra basketweave. Not wanting to match it exactly, I just had the tile setter pick out the 1 x 2s and set them individually in the running bond pattern. I got the tile from
