planning to remodel my laundry room which is 63" wide. I'm planning on a total af three cubbies. What type of material (i.e wood, mdf, etc...) was used to construct the cubby dividers, seperators and shelfs? They look to be painted or veneer. Thank you, Gary
Great mudroom/laundry idea! Where is this
dimensions of your room? Looks like an excellent use of space. Also, how much space is between the end of the sink cabinet and beginning of the laundry counter?
We are trying to decide to put a laundry room / living space (office/playroom) above our garage (which would be adjacent to our main floor) or in the basement and make it have it's own room. Thoughts?
It just does not seem like a regular high gloss paint, but would like to be able to do a comparable sheen in my laundry room.

Master Bathroom renovation. For convenience we also reversed a closet from behind the bathroom to make the existing linen closet deeper and accomodate a stackable washer/dryer. Paint color: B. Moore # HC30 Philadelphia cream Photo credit: Peter Rymwid
Jamie, read above in previous questions about the dimensions. For this project, there was another closet behind the small linen closet in the bathroom so we used the space from the closet behind. The shelving is only about 18" wide. Call in a contractor and show the photo, it will be no problem for

LOVE idea of washing facilities IN the bathroom!
Washer and dryer in the bathroom
Hidden laundry!? Great use of space!
One bathroom trend shared with me by architect Dean Larkin is the inclusion of a washer and dryer in the master suite. This serves as a travel center for homeowners who travel often want a quick, convenient turnaround between flights. Laundry comes out of the suitcase and goes right into the washer and
and dryer. Today's laundry appliances also feature steam settings to remove wrinkles before the next trip.
If you have the room, a washer and dryer in the bathroom will eliminate a lot of steps to keep towels and bath mats clean and fresh.

This basement laundry/bathroom combination provides large, contemporary bathroom facilities for guests (there isn't a main floor powder room in the house) with a custom glass shower enclosure and large farmhouse-style porcelain sink. The extra deep sink doubles as the perfect spot for hand-washing and
and the ceiling-mounted dry-hang bar keeps things tidy. The Caesarstone quartz counter provides a nice large folding surface for laundry or toiletries.
Bathroom/laundry combo, but without the shower. How pretty!!!

I am trying to add a shower, sink and toilet to an existing laundry room area of a home that we are renovating. Can this be done even with a full size electric water heater? What are the electrical concerns for safety that need to be considered? Thank you for your help.
We could combine the mud room/bathroom with the laundry room.

Would it be better to include the laundry in the bathroom?
