Can you tell me more about the wood beams?
Can you tell me what type of wood was used for the beams? thank you.
Those beams are incredible too! I really like your projects.
How did you install the beams? floor support?
It really depends on the size of your space, the size of the beams, and the architectural elements in your space
They are old reclaimed beams, because of this it is pretty difficult to know the species for sure.
Do you know the dimensions of the beams? Not the length of the entire beam, just the width on both sides?

Barn Restoration in Harding Township, New Jersey
What did you use to oil or seal the wood beams?
I also have barn beams by I'm afraid to put anything on them for fear they'll get tacky and collect dust.
The beams (for the most part) were original to the barn. They were removed, cleaned, preserved, and re-configured to accommodate the new design. They are Chestnut
Hi! The beams were sealed at the shop where they were restored. They used an oil based preservative that hardened. I understand your concern regarding the tackiness
Same restored barn - beams throughout living/dining space.
Love the beams in the kitchen.
Maybe add brace to barn beam/living room entry.
