Do not know if I am commenting too late but had the tiles set, waited several days before sealing so all would be dry, had the tile grouted, waited again for a couple of days and then sealed twice before using. Have been using the shower for about two weeks and so far so good! No discoloration

We always recommend to invest in a good stone penetrating sealer and for the stone to be pre sealed before installation and sealed again after. Once the pores are closed with the sealant maintaining it will be much easier.
I can't remember the name of the tile, but it is a special order tile. The price just recently went up to $1.90 per square foot at my local Lowes. Before the first of the year, it was $1.30 per square foot :(
if you get a door, the door will not go to the ceiling any ways but it is always a good idea to check with a glass professional with your drawings before you start any work.
