Amy I'm not sure about the gray wall color. It was painted before I arrived. The border color is black and is two ft. wide. That will work for your room height.

do something similar. We are currently in the process of building our home and to put a prefab hot tub on the roof deck we would have to crane it up before completion. The ceiling is a combination of fir and pine wood installed in the pattern that you see. Both materials were primed before installation and then the finish coats of paint were applied after installation was completed.

the 4x4 posts so the lattice fits between, then secure the lattice with 2x2s or 1x2s. Voila! The posts are anchored in concrete - let them set up before installing the lattice. Using square lattice instead of the angled makes them more elegant and contemporary.

No, They are 4 x 10's, doubled up. Before using an assumed beam size on a structure this large, make sure that you have a local structural engineer review all spans, connection and member size
