of this granite? Can you see what colors are in it? It is beautiful! I'm doing a painted/glazed cabinet and am doing the granite search right now.
Apparently I am not the only one that loves this granite and would love t know the name. It looks similar to some of the Bordeaux's I've seen, but this one is sooo much nicer! Please let me know!
could I please get the name of granite ...gorgeous
How does the quartzite hold up compared to the granite?
What granite did you use for this kitchen?
I have counters with lots of movement & colors similar to the ones in the picture. Mine are quartzite not granite, you might ask your stone merchant for it.

to put marble in my kitchen, I have two boys, does marble gets damage easily?
i know marble stains but what about black honed granite or soapstone? do they stasin or patina?
heard that marble countertops stain? Do you have any advice?
carrara marble, they're "tagged" in the photo. :) Rhoda
white cabinets matches ligt countertops. marble or granite coutertops water resistance and easy clean.
black granite or soapstone would stain - they are both too dense to absorb anything. Marble does not necessarily stain, but etching is an issue. Marble and soapstone, both of which are softer and need to be honed, will develop a patina over time, and that is fine too. Expecting a brand new looking

I would love to do this in my kitchen. Are the granite and tile the same depth? I'm not sure I will be able to get a thinner granite to avoid a "lip or a step" when the tile and granite are flush up against each other. Is there any work around?
Bettulaire Granite, Golden Crystal Granite, or Silver and Gold Granite for a similar look.
These custom cabinets were fabricated by City Cabinetmakers in San Francisco.
Green marble - we have used that before. It looks like a qurtzite we are considering called Fusion.
have the granite fabricator grind down the thickness of the material and make it exactly what you need.

Beautiful granite slab shower with neutral tile floor. River rock paint by Ralph Lauren saturates the walls with color and sophistication. Black rectangle bowl and waterfall vanity faucet add to the visual simplicity of the room. White cabinetry keeps the room as open as possible in a small space.
How did you add the granite to the ceiling.
Cool granite to use although a little too dark.

Is this honed or polished marble?
not a marble, look at the various white quartzites.

issue with marble/travertine/limestone -- any material that contains calcite -- is not so much staining as it is etching from anything acidic. There is no sealer that prevents against etching. Most fabricators and stone retailers will advise honing the marble, etc. since etching is less visible than with
that Fox Marble in the Bay Area fabricated this for the client, but are not certain.
over time how is the staining on this marble?
aware of a granite that will have the look or feel of Cararra. All the best.

type of marble is being used on this backsplash? The colors in the photograph make it difficult to see if it is a carrera or a calacatta!
don't have marble...I have concrete...but the problem is the same). If you stay true to your nature, you can't go wrong. Also -- check out super white granite as an alternative. It does not have the same veining as marble. Yet it has the same color scheme and also shows off the beauty of nature. Good
love this marble...and I want it in my kitchen but all people that I know say "don't do it"... and they got me scared, but I keep looking and looking for a similar peace and I can't find it...
Hi there. Your research is correct -- marble is relatively porous. This means that it will stain more readily

Juperana granite, you have to go find slabs that you like, this job was done nearly 10 years ago and natural stone varies from lot to lot. I recommend you go to a stone yard with this image and they will show you what they have in inventory that has similar colors" - Home Systems , Wendi Zampino (a couple
used a granite called "Andino White" (slightly lighter in color) and did a very similar back splash. I was wondering what exact color was used on the walls? the cabinets seem to be an off-white ... It's beautiful!!
glass and marble mosaic matchstick tile and I have 3 spaces to finish. 2 of the spaces run corner to corner, so I don't have to worry about no trim. The other space ends at an open corner, and I was sort of thinking that the white, uneven tile might look cool unfinished at the end, with the dark gray wall
