(that is how far do you want the valance to project from the wall). In standard rooms that is generally 4" but if you have to clear other things like shades or window hardware make sure you have enough clearance. In bigger rooms I like to do a 5" return so it doesn't look skimpy. Then you buy a board
if you can to mount it closer to the ceiling so the windows look taller. Valances should cover any blinds or shades you may want to add underneath. You do not need to spend a lot on the blind or shade underneath your valance, because it won't show when not in use.
reflecting the winter sun and glistening snow. For even more light, don't cover up the windows. A minimal covering, such as a valance, will hide any blinds or shades. This palette is a great choice for a small space as it keeps the look bright and open.

Could you please tell me what the deminsion usually is and are these blinds rolled forward or under the roll? Thanking you
Most companies make blinds that can be lowered from the top of the window down. This way you can have light coming in from the upper part of the window but still have privacy

what kind of blinds are those? and where can i buy them?
Hello - are they bottom up roman blinds or roller blinds? It is hard to tell..thanks
Can the roman blinds operate from top down as well as bottom up?
I agree the look like flat fold roman shades with top down
It looks like they are more of a flat pleat roman shade. Roller shades are typically more of a screen/mesh material.
You can order them through our Interior Design Department at 407-644-3435. Just reference the blinds in the brown guest bedroom at NeMo.
Love the idea of privacy but still allowing the outside in with the blinds dropping from the top
