Board-formed-concrete walls. There is nothing more industrial than concrete. For walls like the ones shown here, timber-built forms are created and filled with concrete. After the concrete partially cures, the forms are removed, leaving unique patterns on the walls. As with the gabion walls, consult
professional for installation. This wall exhibits high contrast because of the industrial feel of the concrete and the unique, organic pattern of the wooden forms. It is a marriage that is appropriate in woodland gardens as well as urban enclaves.

The same board-formed concrete used at the entry is also used indoors. The pocket door fits into a subtle saw-cut slot to close off the powder room, allowing the wall to extend past the room when the door is tucked away.Sink: honed Absolute Black granite Veneto Pedestal Sink, Stone Forest; tile: Coal

This look is called "Board Form Concrete", it is traditionally achieved when the house is first made by casting the concrete in place with plywood strips for moulds. However 2Stone has just released its "Board Form Tiles". Our tiles look as thought they were cast in-place

I love the idea of board-formed concrete, but it seems like it would be impossible to dust. Maybe use outside for something?

... got a cost estimate of $30.00 per square foot for board formed concrete. This sounds way out of line and is more than natural stone. What is a reasonable rough cost for this wall?
Looking at the form strip timing, does tooling a curved (radiused) top edge at inside & outside edges require tooling prior to the form strip? I can't see another way to do it. Fantastic design, btw!
Those are board-formed concrete planters. Horsetails can be very invasive otherwise.

I am assuming this is a poured concrete wall...How did you achieve the wood grain texture? Did you use prefab form liners? If so, who was the manufacturer? Or was it custom, on-site formwork?
Its board formed concrete. We have just put out a tile product that mimics this look, unfortunately I don't have any professional photos yet but you can check out one on our facebook page " 2Stone Designer Concrete" http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=367282059994296&set=a.327748583947644.79981.
