Hi. Which Ikea cabinets did you use to make the banquette? love.
Could the article author confirm what Ikea furniture was used for the banquette? I noticed the banquette is deeper than the 4-unit high shelves (which I believe are the Expedit/Kallax system). So it doesn't look like it's from the same series. Thanks so much!

Where is this? Just wondering about the climate and length of time one could use such an outdoor room?
This is in Montecito, CA - southern coast of Santa Barbara County. The climate here is mild. This room is used pretty much year round. I don't see this room getting much use where you've got winter snow and summer insects...
Do you think the grape vine on the left is something we should use? Does it grow fast? Is it too invasive?

Hi! What color did you use for the ceiling? Thx!
This could work, but would need thicker wooden shelves. The weight of books would over time cause sagging.

Hi All! I painted the clouds on the ceiling, and used a bluish grey, instead of white since the ceiling was already a deep greyish blue. It worked great for a teen boy. Not too childish at all. You can

Use soda bottles as vases. A row of tall, slender soda bottles lined up in the middle of a table makes a pretty (and supereasy) centerpiece. Just plunk one bloom in each vase, and you’re done! Try gerbera daisies, cosmos or sunflowers.
