Add a deck. It’s hard to enjoy your outdoor
using your deck for dining (which you should), you’ll want it located as close to your kitchen as possible. “You don’t want to have to climb a bunch of stairs just to go back in for some salt,” says Clemens Jellema, who runs Fine Decks and has been building decks for 20 years.
1. Add a deck. It’s hard
How will you access the deck? If you currently have a door that leads outside to where you’ll want your deck, then congratulations — you’re in good shape. But if you’re adding a deck to a portion of your house that doesn’t have a door, then you’ll have to add an opening, which can increase costs drastically

What material was used for the rolling hot tub cover/deck?
Renovators may want to consider building a deck platform around the spa, allowing a rolling cover to slide easily underneath. When the spa is not in use, its cover simply becomes part of the deck.

Stow the cover - pulla our from under deck. Rolling spa covers also spare you the hassle of having to flip back a heavy, soggy mess. Renovators may want to consider building a deck platform around the spa, allowing a rolling cover to slide

It is wise to have a protective sealant brushed on your wood before the harsh winter/summer set in. If your deck gets a lot of sun exposure, consider using a wood sealant that has a UV protection agents inside
sealant are better for a shine. Wood stains that have a water sealer and UV protections are better for changing the color of the wood. To protect wood decks or other structures exposed to severe heat and sun exposure, use an acrylic stain with transparent iron oxide or opaque pigments

Check out formed concrete from "2stone Designer Concrete". Use formed concrete like this for deck walls?
could we make concrete or tile up to the overhang or a little further back and do deck the rest of the way?
