The front door opens right into the living room where built-in bookshelves flank a painted brick fireplace. Clark and Caroline painted the brick fireplace as well as the inside of the cabinets when they first moved in. Mounted deer antlers hang above the mantel with a photo of Caroline’s grandmother

Could you tell me what paint you used for the fireplace brick? I have pink brick I need to cover...
It's best to talk to the specialist at your local paint store to find out what type of paint to best address covering your fireplace.
That tile is original to the 1920's bungalow. Sorry!

This small bungalow needed to grow along with the needs of the couple's growing family. Focusing on the importance of scale and proportion with the added space was key to this design. The existing square footage was sensitively redesigned to include more built-ins, a new fireplace and detailed millwork

Bungalow living rooms are typically anchored by a large fireplace flanked with built-in cabinetry and shelving. These fireplaces could be brick, stone or faced with a decorative tile to add color and interest to the living room. In the early days, these fireplaces provided warmth, hearth and entertainment
entertainment center all in one. They were the true center of the bungalow home.
