Is this a combination wood/gas stove?
We have an 1844 New England farm and we are looking to add a heat source to our kitchen. We are thinking of adding an antique wood/gast cook stove to our kitchen. Thank You.

We are moving a Stanley wood stove into our new kitchen and are wondering how to approach the non combustable surface required on the end of the cupboards butting up to the Stanley
operate on solid fuel any more. However, for a while Heartland were making an Aga-lookalike wood-burning stove, but it only has one small oven, and isn't much of a space heater. Better to consider a wood-burning Esse Ironheart, which has a slightly larger oven, two rings on top joined in a dog-bone fashion

It is a flowing space so it is difficult to define it in exact square footage. The front doors face a wood burning fireplace and it is approximately 12' wide by the front doors and extends approximately 16' feet to the fireplace. Thanks for your inquiry and
I am glad you like the floor! The wood is a character grade white oak and we matched a wood sample we found with an espresso stain. The wood was water popped which is a process that opens the wood grain and allows it to absorb the stain so a darker color was achieved

I like the gray color and texture. Would you recommend installing this beside a natural wood floor (lightly stained - like the color of the door and beams)?

At the risk of being a bubble-burster, I agree that the fireplace above appears to be burning wood, but looking at the perspective on the brick at the left side of the fireplace opening, and the apparent lack of the required hearth depth (20"
