I think it looks better when the main/bigger window trim is light, and the inner pains are dark, as shown here, than the other way around (cream/light inner panes, dark outer trim - yuck, too much dark)

The roofing on the flat roof in between the gabled roofs is "tpo" a membrane roofing system for very low slope roofs. It is seen very commonly in commercial applications but more and more for residential flat roofs
