The "marble" tile is from a company called Pental Marble and Granite here in Portland, OR. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. Many of the tile showrooms are carrying great look-alikes these days. Look for one in your area - I'm sure you'll find something that looks just as good.

@yelda - I'm sorry I don't have the color information available. We used a Custom Building Products color. It was selected to pull out the "tan" colors in the marble tile.

such as marble, you are better off using the marble in a matte finish. Remember, the more shiny or polished the marble is, the more you will notice etch marks! Besides, marble is supposed to have character, how is it that it has been used in Europe for thousands of years and no one ever complains about

The only disadvantage with marble, travertine and limestones versus granite is that they are not acid resistant which means if anything acidic makes contact with the stone it will leave

I just looked at A LOT of marble in several stone yards because I'm going for the same look. Looks like honed statuary marble. Calacatta gold is another marble that can resemble this but can show some yellow lines

a tile,marble&terrazzo business I do know how sensitive this an many gorgeous counter tops can be. Even with sealing them, the marble will still stain over time (esp. if used as a countertop). There are several websites that can offer assistance as a guide. Here's a link to the first site I pulled up
about marble. If you are patient and don't obsess about keeping things pristine, over time it will patina and be beautiful. I went to Eataly in NYC last week and saw the marble counter tops and floors in the vicinity of the bakery. They had such a beautiful patina on them. So now, I'm not as upset
