The integrity of the home’s materials was also an important factor in the design—solid woods, concrete, and raw metal were selected because they stand up to day to day needs of a family’s use yet look even better with age. Hi, am have just bought an older type home and it needs a complete new roof. I am trying to obtain a quaint story book quality to it . I would love to know the correct pitch term to ask my builder
I am trying so hard to achieve part of this style but have height restrictions on my house. Can you please tell me what the height of this home is? is it higher than 30 feet? I think it is simply fabulous - so simple and understated while totally eye-catching. Kudos.
Love the board and batten siding - makes the house look taller and more dramatic. Also love the monochromatic color scheme with carefully placed accents.
Charisma in Charlotte Arriving at a very different result, but using many of the same techniques as in the previous project, this home in Charlotte, North Carolina, proudly exhibits the means of its making. Again the fine details, the joints, play a prominent role in unifying the distinct components

Rosedale 'PARK'
ease of construction and cost of wood products made it possible to carefully craft this project. In the end, aside from its quiet, modern expression, it is well-detailed, allowing it to be a pragmatic storage box, an elevated roof 'garden', a lantern at night, a threshold and place of occupation poolside
privacy but also lets light and air pass through. At night, the fence becomes a large light fixture providing an ambient glow for both the private garden as well as the public sidewalk. Thin striations of light wrap around the interior and exterior of the property. The wall of the garage separating
and sense of place. It edits out the view of adjacent properties and together with the pool in the immediate foreground frames a view back toward the home’s family room. Using the pool as a source of light and the soffit of the overhang a reflector, the bright and luminous water shimmers and reflects

Ocean Bluff-Winner Santa Barbara Beautiful 2013
you tell me who makes the light and what are the dimensions? Is it hung by a chain or rod? I'm looking for a light like this for a modern craftsman home, but everything seems to be too small. I need one about 22h x 14w. It gets windy where I live so I'm looking for a rod fixture.
I do not know the maker of this furniture. It was bought through Cabana Home in Santa Barbara, CA.

Family room
carefully planned beam cut-outs to bring in more light
Love this home. It's open, it's clean, it's dynamic, it's beautiful!!! Well done!
Here’s the other side of the den/library, which leads to the outdoor garden. Fougeron worked with a structural engineer to make the structure as light as possible. The cutouts on the beams were a result of figuring out exactly how much material was needed to provide adequate support and removing everything
