replacing our sliders with french doors. I see this open in. What is your thought of open-out?? In our dining room (similar to this) we have Open-in French doors (open to deck). It is a beautiful open space. You could contact the designer of the house (click "More Info" under the photo to get a link to his professional profile) and see if they have
hallway breaks up the space and how there's a cased opening in between the two rooms. This is a great way to have your cake and eat it too. Since the walls and trim are white, and the header of the cased opening is quite high, you get the benefit of both openness and intimacy.
