double cast iron sink was installed in a sturdy cabinet that provides excellent needed storage. An upper cabinet was rescued from the basement and had new crown moulding and light rail added. The beautiful ceiling is original to the home.
although the cast iron finish is not as shiny in the bowls it was in perfect condition otherwise.
salvaged cast-iron double sink is a great fit for this utilitarian laundry room. Now, I feel compelled to share the flip side of using a salvaged sink: in addition to the drawbacks Dona Rosene outlined, there can be challenges for everyone involved in the installation process. I love this style where the pillars of the mantel get slimmer at the bottom, but I'm told this is too top heavy as real stone, is this cast stone?

The larger plants are Cast Iron Plant. The smaller fine foliage looks like liriope.
