Where did you end the tile backsplash by the range hood?
We have cabinets that don't go all the way to the top so I don't know where to end the backsplash. I was planning to take it all the way up the top but am afraid that will look strange
several options: 1.) Run the backsplash up to the hood, and leave the rest of the wall with flat painted color (attached example on the right). 2.) Run the backsplash up to the top of the cabinets, and have a contrasting or matching color "strip" above. 3.) Run the backsplash all the way up to the ceiling
ceiling. 4.) Fill in the entire space with backsplash, but make the area between the hood and the cooktop stand out with a different color/pattern/texture (attached example on the left).

Contemporary design eschews rugs and carpeting in favor of sleeker, harder surfaces: bamboo; blond woods such as maple or ash; stone; ceramic. Ebonized planks or dark-stained concrete can ground contemporary rooms (as long as you're prepared to make friends with your dust mop).
you're in luck. Contemporary design eschews rugs and carpeting in favor of sleeker, harder surfaces: bamboo; blond woods such as maple or ash; stone; ceramic. The photo says Capriccio 3" x 6" ceramic field in dove gloss and Palladium 30" x 72" travertine slab in honed-filled finish. I assume the entire tub is using the Palladium.
