I am the architect for this project. I had nothing to do with the beautiful furnishings including the rug, the clock in the 4 seasons room, etc.
Thank you so much for responding. I believe the field tiles are 2" x 4" & the carved are 6" x 6", but I will contact the supplier to see if I can confirm. I absolutely love this kitchen....your design is so beautiful.
cannot tell you. The cabinets were designed by Joliet Cabinet Company and have to admit that I never did put a tape on them to measure them. Perhaps 4" square, but that is only a guess.

Thank you! Your designs are beautiful and I used this shower photo as the model for my bathroom. Can you tell me if you only routed out the side 2x4's or were there additional studs routed out? Also, would you be able to elaborate on how best to caulk and waterproof. Thank you so much for being so
notched all studs, no more than 1/2", sides and back. Had a problem notching out corners where the 2x4's came together so we used a 4" angle grinder on corners of bench to get the best fit possible. Remember 1/4" per foot pitch. Slip bench into place, no adhesives, screws, nails, etc. Install Hardibacker
are prob 2x2 and the small rectilinear tiles are prob 6"x2' assuming that shower is 4' deep.

it's only a few inches, perhaps 3" or 4" to edge of counter. I'm planning on an island with the sink to one side (like this one). Prep sink is 17" x 17 " (exterior size) & needs at least a 21" cabinet. Should I use a 24" cabinet instead because that would leave about 4" to the edge of the counter? How much
did you pull up the countertop granite in a 4"backsplash? and may I ask why? I can't decide if I should do the 4" or 3" or not. I will have white shaker cabs and AB honed countertops. Am considering leaving painted back walls, to
Thank you. Is the black granite backsplash behind the range 4 or 6 inches?
I think you're right, there is only about 3" from front of counter to sink and then 4" or 5" from side to corner.

The marble counter top was made from a 3/4 inch thick slab with a 1 1/2 inch ogee edge detail. another piece of 3/4 inch stone is applied to the front of the 3/4" slab to make it appear thicker. the back splash is 3/4 inch thick x 4 inches high.
3/4 inch marble was used, however a 3/4 inch piece was added to the front of the marble to make it look thicker. How is that done?

The balusters are 1/2" x 1/2" square steel pickets. They support a 1 1/2" x 3/8" steel railing, which is capped with 2" x 3" or 4" mesquite (not sure which dimension was ultimately used). Not sure what you mean by the wall rail, but a similar treatment was used throughout.

A 1/4" veneer is applied to the entire wall with the rectangular panels added on top. It is not difficult to do for a skilled carpenter. Talk to your interior
