What product did you use surrounding the pit and how is it contained?
Pamela- the surrounding is cheap, temporary pea gravel- we are replacing it this summer with decomposed granite. It's not contained by anything in particular although I did dig down about 2" and then edged & filled the area.
Someday I'll have a fire pit like this.
