Pelham Shingle Style for a Modern Family
solid marble 'shelf' at the base (and tiled along the other 3 sides around the block glass) and installed a sky light that opens in ceiling for ventilation. It's beautiful, sunny, has sufficient air flow for the room, and no leakage (yet, anyway). Good luck!
is the idea. Hinged glass panel over window to protect it when showering. Window can be open or closed during showering. Glass over window can be clear or "frosted" to create privacy.

glass panels set into an aluminum frame, this shower enclosure mimics the look of the tile in the back of the shower. The dark metal mixed with the clear glass gives the enclosure an eclectic feel.

recommended that we buy a hood that is wider than the range(52 or 54"). I noticed your hood is 48", same as your range. Does it provide sufficient ventilation? I'd really like to stay with a 48" hood for symmetry and so I don't lose more of my upper cabinets. Thx!,
