Displaying art collections
Interior designer Tracy Murdock designed this special “bottle wall” to house her client’s special miniature alcohol bottles collected from around the world for over 20 years. The wall was built out to form the niches where special fluorescent lighting tubes were installed behind each section. The Back
bottle giving the effect that each is floating. Finally glass doors were installed to not only keep out the dust…but also “fingers” and to make the collection all the more important.
This is so cool. Mini liquor bottle collection display idea.

Great idea for display of tiny collectables.
Collection. It suits the atmosphere. Makes it feel very 'light' and delicate.

This cool clock collection adds to the antique atmosphere giving it value.
My grandpa would love this clock collection. Warmly nostalgic

Here’s an excellent approach when your collection is made up of lots of pieces: customized shelving. Once again (do you see a theme here?), the furnishings below the shelves mimic the colors in the collection for a very cohesive feel
To display collections: Install floating shelves. Use symmetry to align the shelves with one another as well as with the other elements of the room, then add your display items as haphazardly as you like.

Love the globe collection on the mantle!

Another mantel, another collection. Notice how that one tall globe makes this display work. Without the marked difference in height, the pop would go out of the collection. Remember when you are collecting that varying heights will aid greatly in achieving memorable looks.

room now becomes the heart of the home, with glimpses into the collection a constant presence from every space. A partially translucent glass wall (derived from the genetic code of a Harbor Seal) and shelving system protects the collection and divides the owner’s study from the adjacent family room.
aside a space where your collection can be properly displayed and enjoyed, like the one shown here. Collect until the space is comfortably filled. Then stop or maintain a zero-growth collection policy: one item in, one item out.
8. Hoarding. Know your limits. Collecting can easily cross over into hoarding. Don’t let that happen to you. How to break this habit? Set aside a space where your collection can be properly displayed and enjoyed, like the one shown here. Collect until the space

Nice way to display/store many different types of collectibles.
If you collect lots of different things, a cube-style étagère like this one might be just right. Remember that, just as in room design, it’s all about mixing — your shapes, your colors, your textures.

The collection of blue toile vases
versatile ceramics to collect are pieces in blue and white. They mix well with almost any color scheme and with any style or period. Here a fantastic collection is amassed on a console in an entry hall, creating a vivid and welcoming first impression. As with many ceramic collections, antiques and newer
newer pieces live comfortably together — your collecting addiction doesn’t have to be imprisoned by a time frame. But keep your collection personal and meaningful by limiting yourself to the pieces you really love and passing on the pieces that are just so-so.
Console tables are often just right for displaying collections, particularly of large-scale items like these blue and white vases. On the table … under the table … they could even be on shelves over the table
