holder. Columns built around the fixture. Then, steel plates were water jet cut with the pattern
and affixed to the sides of the columns to cover the compact fluorescent bulb that was
screwed into the fixture. The bulbs can be reached between the columns for replacement when needed.
these columns get from folks on Houzz. Of course, most people just want to figure out how they were made so that they can make them on their own house.
This design concept is an example of thinking outside the box a bit, and imagining how simple "off the shelf" items can become something artistic
Can you tell me where you ordered these columns from?
The columns are a premanufactured structural PVC. They are 12" square.
These columns were ordered from a local lumber company. They are just a standard 12 x 12 square fiberglass column. The capital and base were created with Azek PVC trim pieces. Sorry for the delayed response.
