did you actually make that for the wine? if so how did you do it?
Wouldn't a wine rack above a fridge always be a bit warm & not ideal for wine storage?
Unfortunately this was an extremely tight kitchen in a DC rowhome built in the 1800s and this was the only space available for the wine. With today's modern refrigerators, we find they don't produce
too hot for wine storage. Unless it's mulled. ;) i prefer to add slats/dividers and keep trays and cookie sheets up there.
I agree with molliemartian. While attractive, this is a very undesirable place to store wine. Heat rises so upper cabinet storage of temperature sensitive wine is a bad idea
Just to get this new idea out there to designers.... there is a new option for your wine loving clients... Wine Logic. It was made to be installed into a standard base cabinet. Made in the USA, solid maple, full extension drawer glides. You can store up to 30 bottles in an 18" x 18" space! [we

building our home and planning to have a bar area. I like how you have set up your wine rack. We are getting the cabinets custom made and wondering where you buy the metal pins for the wine ? Thanks
Is that a wine chiller in the wall? Where can I find it?
Where do you get the wine bottle pegs?
The pins were custom manufactured by the owner at his company. Sorry, they are not available commercially. Maybe you could modify a metal dowel rod or have a local machine shop make them? http://www.zorotools.com/g/00151572/k-G1760997?utm_source=google_shop

Would window storage damage the wine? It looks nice, but it's no good if it ruins my collection.
That wine rack actually leads to another room, and does not get direct sunlight. This bar is also in a public space, so they go through wine faster than a residential client.
