Two large pendant lights lined in gold leaf add drama to the minimalist space, emphasising the home’s contemporary spirit. The stark black hue of the shades contrasts with the white walls, concrete floors and warm wood.

I would like to know the process used to get the floors to look like that. I'm building a house with concrete floors but do not want to see the aggregate?
What concrete stain product and color did you use....
Hi Deanna. You would not see aggregate unless the floor was aggressively ground with polishing equipment, as the aggregate settles to the bottom of the slab. Typically, I

And while everyone has separate private pod areas, they all interact in the open living, dining and kitchen

What is the material/technique? Is it slate, concrete or perhaps a faux finish? LOVE IT!
Hi, We are building with a concrete floor and drywall (vs. plaster) and don't want baseboards. The walls are curved at the doorways. How did you transition the walls to the floor? Can you make any suggestions for duplicating your process with drywall vs. plaster?
We were also wondering about how to fill the 1/8 inch gap below the drywall at the seam of the concrete flooring. Is there a product specific for this or that works well?
It is hard trowelled concrete with a pigment.
Yes, The plaster is Enjare by American Clay. The concrete is "silversmoke" with a hard troweled finish.
