I'm very impressed by all the attention to detail in this house! Can you please share how you created the gap effect between the drywall and the floor - where the piece of art is. Thanks !

Hill Country Residence
Nestled into sloping topography, the design of this home allows privacy from the street while providing unique vistas throughout the house and to the surrounding hill country and downtown skyline. Layering rooms with each other as well as circulation galleries, insures seclusion while allowing stunning
finish while providing a warm setting for daily life was accomplished through mixing warm natural finishes such as stained wood with gray tones in concrete and local limestone. The home's program also hinged around using both passive and active green features. Sustainable elements include geothermal
insulation, high efficiency glazing, recessing lower spaces into the hillside on the west side, and roof/overhang design to provide passive solar coverage of walls and windows. The resulting design is a sustainably balanced, visually pleasing home which reflects the lifestyle and needs of the clients. Photography

Rustic Family Room
Where can I find metal rivet accents used throughout your designs (ie wood mantel)? Nice touch
Where did you find the windows? Also if adding a family room addition, do the windows in the addition have to be the same as the rest of the house
Any exterior pictures of the house?
Please give details about the floor material and design
Do you know what house plan goes with this kitchen/family room???
I would talk to local architects and see if any know who design it. They might know or a realtor might be aware of who built the house. Write a letter to the home owner and ask as a last resort.
Alyson- The rest of the pictures of the house are under the "Modern Meets Rustic" album. As for the floor plan, this is a custom built home that the clients designed with us and an Architect. Therefore, the clients own the rights to the plans, and we cannot

new link between historic house and barn
Renovation of an historic home. An addition between the existing house and barn in Hingham's Glad Tidings Historic District created a new entry, informal living room, kitchen with cooking fireplace and pantry, and deck. The addition, with it's clerestory, provides lots of natural lighting. The client

good looks, it communicates strength and solidity. The clay tile roof, front porch etc. were there when Brewer bought the house in 1998. But of course, as with any older house, things needed repair, replacement and redoing. So the front porch was rebuilt and all new landscaping was done.
