....compared to other options (i.e. concrete gravel, other?) I'm hoping somewhere on houzz there is a discussion about exterior space finishes. The pros/cons of pavers, concrete, stained concrete, gravel, etc. If you can provide any enlightenment.....I would value your
project and varied pictures. I was asking for comments on what needs to be considered when choosing one material or another.....or mixing pavers, concrete, asphalt....etc. thanks for the quick attempt to respond.

exposure. There are several ways to minimize the look of skimmers and water makeup lids today, such as pour a lids which allow you to pour the same concrete for the lids as the deck and thus making them almost invisible.
like fertilizer can stain a pool quite badly so extra caution is always wise. Thinning our the pool coping is a good idea but also consider coloured concrete (maybe a sand colour) to create that more natural look you are after.
I like the simple border around pool. Keep the garden green, less concrete/pavers
Clean pool all of it and let's say broken concrete wall or bench
