Board-formed-concrete walls. There is nothing more industrial than concrete. For walls like the ones shown here, timber-built forms are created and filled with concrete. After the concrete partially cures, the forms are removed, leaving unique patterns on the walls. As with the gabion walls, consult a
a professional for installation. This wall exhibits high contrast because of the industrial feel of the concrete and the unique, organic pattern of the wooden forms. It is a marriage that is appropriate in woodland gardens as well as urban enclaves.

Where did you get the lights on the retaining wall?

How did you get the wood weathered look on the concrete walls? Thanks !
What did you use to create the modern stripe design on the concrete stepping blocks?
The wood look was achieved by actually attaching rough cut 2x4's to our concrete forms- (but you can actually buy a form liner that will have this same pattern- it is more expensive to do it that way especially if it is a one time use...but the forms are at www.formliners.com Rough Cut
The Entire project consisted of FX Luminaire LED Lighting components. These particular lights are the MS wall lights that come in 13 different finish options. www.fxl.com

minimal pieces in expressive shades. There is something about the juxtaposition of these delicate pieces against the concrete walls that really sets this room on fire.
These interior walls have the telltale signs of tieback holes, and they fit right in to this industrial-inspired space.
As a contrast to the previous photo, these concrete walls are dark and heavy; almost wet in appearance. The intention was much different, as are the spaces, which are more intimate and layered with contrasting materials.

Loves these walls. Are they tile or reclaimed wood
I love the normal white walls and the minimal skirting boards that are flush. I have been looking everywhere for a minimal but practical skirting board. Can you please give details on the skirting boards?.

What are the walls covered with?
The walls are parged--a troweled-on mix of sand, lime, portland cement, and water. It's typically a structural solution, rather than a finish material, used here to consolidate the crumbling mortar of the masonry wall. But I like it as a finish, so long as the control joints are carefully composed

The thin layer of concrete troweled over old masonry to keep it from cracking
The rear wall of the home is covered by a thin layer of concrete. It was simply troweled over a damaged-beyond-repair masonry wall and scored with lines (a technique call parging) to keep it from cracking.
