A kitchen designed to be functional for 2 cooks to work simultaneously.
lifestyle first. Do you enjoy cooking while entertaining, or prefer to stay out of the kitchen once the guests arrive? If so an open concept floor plan with a large bar, and area to talk and socialize will be in order. If you are a more experienced cook who enjoys having many cooks in the kitchen, consider
the island itself and another 2' or so for the little table at the end. We designed it to let two people cook at once, the cutout lets the second person reach from the other side and also puts the cook outside of the circulation path. Works great, they love it.
The kitchen was designed specifically so that clients, who enjoy cooking together, could both access the cook top from either side or both sides at once. The triangle is actually incredibly efficient if you take a look at the previous picture

to IdeabookEmail Photo Including a bar top in your kitchen allows guests to sit and talk while you prepare and cook. This brings the party to the cook. Many guests enjoy being close to the cook, and with a bar top they can watch all the action while still staying out of the main kitchen space.
I like the overhanging counter as a place to sit while the chef cooks!
Island seating separated from cooking area. Allows easy service. corner provides for conversation

your island. But this little trough begs to differ. Take a little scoop out of the middle, and herbs, condiments and drinks become accessible to the cook and those seated on the other side.
Function trumps form here, with pots of herbs stashed along side bottles of wine while an Italian feast is just waiting to be cooked up. One can achieve a similar look by taking cut bunches of the herbs, putting them in water, and using them for a few days.
