I have cookbook storage in same location. Works great and I highly recommend it to those remodeling their kitchen. Cat on counter

build. I love the addition of the handles! It kind of gives the illusion of drawers that have been partially pulled out. That's a lot of storage for cookbooks using what would have been blank cabinet walls.
I have even more magazines than I have cookbooks. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly enough room to store them in my kitchen. These shelves are a great way to store the newest issues, or a few old favorites.

I also like the idea of using pretty boxes and baskets to store pamphlet-style cookbooks.
If you have the space, a spot to sit and plan a menu is most helpful. This one is near ingredients and a few shelves of cookbooks (cleverly arranged by color, I might add) to provide inspiration for your meal
