Kitchen Island
I have cookbook storage in same location. Works great and I highly recommend it to those remodeling their kitchen. Cat on counter...not so much.
I am planning to put my cookbooks in the cabinet above my wall ovens unless I can find a way to work in a barrister bookcase. I don't want mine near the floor in an open shelf because I have small kids who get into everything...
cookbooks. also like the cat.
We want cookbook storage on the side of the kitchen island!!
use less than twice a year and store them in another area. This includes cookbooks. "Pick your top five to 10 favorite cookbooks," she suggests. "Then store the rest elsewhere or donate."Tip: If you're holding on to a cookbook for a single go-to recipe, photocopy the page and then pass the book along

I also like the idea of using pretty boxes and baskets to store pamphlet-style cookbooks.
If you have the space, a spot to sit and plan a menu is most helpful. This one is near ingredients and a few shelves of cookbooks (cleverly arranged by color, I might add) to provide inspiration for your meal

get your cookbooks up off the counter safely away from spills and splatters. Where do you store all your favorite cookbooks and recipes? Are you able to find them quickly for those holiday dinners? Are you an avid cookbook collector like a certain sister I know? :) Please share your cookbook storage

how the cookbooks are out ofvthe way but easy to get to without cluttering
I have even more magazines than I have cookbooks. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly enough room to store them in my kitchen. These shelves are a great way to store the newest issues, or a few old favorites.
I love the addition of the handles! It kind of gives the illusion of drawers that have been partially pulled out. That's a lot of storage for cookbooks using what would have been blank cabinet walls.

Regarding the bookshelf: Why didn't they make it a TWO shelf bookshelf so the cookbooks could stand up rather than lay down....it looks soooo messy. Two shelves would have accomodated all the books and looked a lot nicer. :o) Just
