The copper fireplace surrounds on the fireplace side and the entry side are 20 gauge copper panels contact cemented to the fireplace substrate. The house was designed by Miro Rivera Architects of Austin, Texas and copper work was patinated with ferric nitrate by Jim Thomas Bronze Studio of Jonestown

The color is ferric nitrate acid applied with gentle heat and sealed with carnauba floor wax. Architectural copper for internal use should be patinated and sealed
