How did you affix the cork to the wall? Is this just an accent wall? If so, what did you use on the others
We used cork floor tiles and I had my wallpaper hanger glue them on the wall. It's been great to see the young man who occupies the space use it for his own personal collection. Happy Decorating! Lisa

Do you need to wash the corks and dry them in the sun prior to making a cork backsplash wall?

The corks are laid out in alternating angles so there will be some spaces at the top and bottom of the design which I can fill in with glass or marbles. What would you use for backing (to attach the corks on? I don't want to attach the corks directly to the wall. I'm planning to do 1/2" border at

1/16" cork. The cork to cork should give you the uniform bond your looking for and a background that looks good without having to add odds and ends.

Are most cork floors pre-sealed with polyurethane? Is it desirable? Is this what gives the cork in this photo the sheen it has? (I like the look.)
Was this cork floor installed over radiant heat? If so, is it glue down or floating ?
What brand is the cork floor?
Cork maintenance is similar to hardwood. It should be cleaned the same way. With heavy furniture, you will see dents in the floor when furniture sits for a long time, however, cork has a certain amount of resilience, so eventually, the dents will fill in and disappear. I recommend
sealing your cork floors after installation.
sealing a cork floor (even pre-sealed) with a polyurethane, as it is prone to fading from direct sunlight.
