Is the kitchen about 81/2-9 feet long?
I have the sink but installing it with 2 kitchen sink cupboards as it has drain board on each side...any hints on installation

No worries about committing to a dark color since you can paint over it. Dark colors actually expand spaces, the dark wall in that kitchen blew out that side and expanded it visually

the one in this pic however. How can get exact info on this particular light ? I am restoring a 1920 farmhouse and these would look very good in the kitchen. The one I ordered is the same style but, doesn't have a very long arm and big shade…Thank you for whatever answer you may have.

Inverness kitchen or the one in the attached photo are lovely! What is the source of the inspiration photo, please?
My wife and I visited the pictured Inverness, CA cottage with
hood, custom made by Archive Designs, totally fits the aesthetic of a cottage kitchen. Something similar could probably be created by covering a standard hood in wood or drywall, if one was a bit clever.
Even I think that a range hood is critical to a kitchen. Grease all over everything is not my idea of a good time. This spectacularly appropriate and very high-end hood, custom made by Archive Designs, totally fits the aesthetic of a cottage kitchen.Something similar could probably be created by covering
