1903 Craftsman house in California. Like the architecture..
Returning to the native soil of the Craftsman house, this Los Angeles–area house has been lovingly remodeled and updated. Notice the unique window mullions, which loosely resemble Prairie details. Prairie style

The look is my favorite I love this house
Craftsman house - 2nd floor addition
This original Charlotte, North Carolina, Craftsman house got a second floor in its remodel. A double front gable with a cross side gable over a porch defines the original structure. The new second level rises at a comfortable distance behind. A smaller front-facing gable breaks down the side gable of
of the new upper floor. Shingles cover the entire house. The segmented and minimized scale of the second-level addition successfully complements the original configuration.

Craftsman bungalow. Influenced by the English Arts and Crafts movement, American Craftsman houses are known for their solid, quality construction, low-slung profile and use of natural materials like stone and shingles made of wood. Most common in California, Craftsman homes can also be found across the
open floor plan and plenty of built-in details like desks, china cabinets and shelves, Craftsman homes make excellent use of a compact space. Repairing and replacing period details can be costly.More about Craftsman-style homes

How do I find a local Craftsman architect? Boise, Idaho
How do I find a local architect to bring my Craftsman style home back to it's original charm? Boise, Idaho
Craftsman style home, brackets under roof, large eaves
Front-Gabled Craftsman HomesThis Seattle house has a full-width porch stretching from one outside end post to the other. The square posts rest atop brick piers that rise to a height just slightly above the porch railing. Many variations of the post and pier are found on Craftsman houses, as illustrated
face here also. Notice the transom section above the lower-level windows, which is another common Craftsman detail. Dark gray paint unifies the clapboard and stucco exterior wall finishes on this house.

Street view with restored porch
This is street view of restored Ballard Craftsman. Original entry stair, balcony, door and railing were missing, and rebuilt. Our period design with cut-outs in railing does not match original. Exterior colors are Benjamin Moore "Mountain Lane" for body and "Barely Yellow" for trim. David Whelan
What color green and brand of paint is on this house?
Hi. Beautiful house. Where did you find the railing on the second floor? Are they custom?
Beautiful house...Kudos on the attention to detail! Would love to know the color of the front door.

Could you tell me the paint colors of this lovely house?
Craftsman houses are often painted dark colors, like maroon, brown and dark green. This muted yellow home is given a major dose of happy
this for my front deck and garden boxes (against a yellow house), but am worried about my white trim making the colors look cheap...
Craftsman houses are often painted dark colors, like maroon, brown and dark green. This muted yellow home is given a major dose of happy with those bright yellow pillars. Mixing different tones of the same color is a great way to highlight architecture and give a home some color without going too bright

CraftsmanCraftsman houses are popular for their wonderful trim details. Ironically, the concept behind them originally was to modernize and simplify the traditional architectural features that preceded them.

LOVE the craftsman bones and the mid-century furniture.
Old house with wallpaper and modern furnishings
The hearth is the center of most Craftsman houses, but this wasn't always the case for this house. Initially, Vila was having trouble with her furniture arrangement. Brenner suggested a less traditional layout and even designed a sofa that would fit the space and suit Vila's modern sensibilities. "My
