This bathroom had a pretty window but no other architectural features. The old shower was a little fiberglass cave. So we opened it up, added some columns, and some rope lighting, to feel like you were relaxing in a tub under the evening sky. Photographer: Tom McInerney

Shower Enlargement, Akron OH

This shower enlargement transformed a 3'x3' fiberglass stall into a 3'x5' cultured marble shower. The stall was widened to accommodate a 32" tempured glass 3/8" rainglass shower door. We were able to install the cultured marble side walls in one piece and incorporated the cultured marble backsplash
backsplash around the existing tub. DuraCeramic vinyl and ceramic composite was used on the floor. The shower fixtures include a large shower head with a hand held spray. A volume control adjuster was also installed which regulates the water pressure.

small, dated fiberglass shower that you would typically find in mid-80's homes. We made use of the wasted space (12" on either side) and created a full travertine shower with frameless clear glass shower door. We used a glass & travertine accent border to separate the patterns, installed a shower niche, and
and shower seat. For the floor we used a tumbled travertine in a Versailles pattern. Photos by Michelle Robinson Photography.

ordinary tub/shower fiberglass surround turned extra ordinary by installing 4” x 8” white beveled tile. A beautifully cut sea glass tile border added a pop of color and completed the look. A great idea: we furnished and installed a curved shower rod to create additional space inside the shower for our clients
clients. We typically furnish light/vent combination units in each shower to eliminate moisture. In this particular case, the ceiling light bounces off the beveled tile nicely providing the clean and dramatic feel our client was going for.
