This is stone. It is called "A" split basalt step stone. It is approx 4-6" thick so all it needs is to be set on a base of sand and right on the soil. Then the sod or seed goes in around it.

You should check with your local stone yard for a similar field stone mix.
It is a natural stone. I would not recommend you use manufactured stone.
It is a natural stone. As a general rule, I do not use fabricated stone. Even the best fabricated stone will not look natural, and you will see repeating patterns in it.
is this a real stone or is it fabricated?

Sleek Contemporary 1
This contemporary home used dark woods and a simplified cabinet style to make a bold statement. The neutral tones of the granite, tile, and stone used in this home help the dark sleek cabinets really stand out.
Please tell me more about the stone that was installed around the fireplace. That is, manufacturer, individual stones, stones on mesh backing, etc. Thank you!
maybe restrain my existing cherry cabinets or if it is less costly change them and change the marble fireplace to stone. Please advise.Your input will be greatly appreciated.
Gorgeous fireplace. Hi texasmepl, you might like our stone tiles. You can use them to create nice textures for your fireplace
what your existing is. If you send me, I will take a look. If you are considering stonework I would urge you to install the cabinetry prior to the stone. This will allow them to lay up to the cabinets and give a beautifully finished look.
