"coral" and then applied the design with gloss white.
The design was done without a stencil. It was hand drawn on one side and then mirror transferred on the opposite side. Then I painted the design. I make custom hand painted designs specific to the surface they are to be applied to. This particular design was inspired by a damask fabric.
don not know the source of the wall sconce. It's the home of interior designer Marjorie Skouras. Perhaps you can contact her and inquire.

clearly didn't provide enough pizzazz for designer Allison Cosmos. The door was painted with a coral coat of paint in a satin finish before the gloss white design was applied. You can achieve a similar look with any number of stencil designs. Check out Royal Design Studio and Cutting Edge Stencils.

don't look at design...too fussy...but i love the color green.
really fun idea is to reverse a damask design when repeating it in a space. Here we see green-on-white for the drapes and white-on-green on the wall. Similar options would be to do a color reversal for a pillow/bed set combination, a wallpaper/ furniture combination or a damask ceiling/ floor combination

The drama of the damask design can be impacted greatly just by the colors that are used in the design. The light blue seen here is clearly less bold than the black and white of the last picture. It is a great choice for a bathroom!
