create a space that was open feeling, with lots of storage, room to entertain large groups, and a warm and sophisticated color palette. In response to this, we designed a layout in which the corridor is eliminated and the experience upon entering the space is open, inviting and more functional for cooking

looking for a rug like this, everywhere! Where did you purchase it from?
there is a place here in Chapel Hill N. C. that will create what ever one wants...it reminds me of their work. You should look them up, I believe they are still in business! Hill Country Woodworks, divine.
I am not the designer, but West Elm has a similar item: http://www.westelm.

I have a similiare armoir in one of my guest rooms that hides the tv. I found it at a Salvation Army Store for $175 ! It's a beautiful creamy french white and the focus of any room it's in. It was purchased when I lived in South Florida, but have seen great furniture in Salvation Army stores where I
drape just a printed piece of burlap or can you find this at a store too? Thank you! This room is beautiful!
about a color from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams? Is it Rainwashed?
OMG! THANK YOU!!! I hope i'm not the only one who gets totally excited about this kind of thing. Thanks for the tip-what a great suggestion - had exhausted all the resources
at at a wedding reception w/ mason jars for centerpieces at the tables. (the tarps were used as a covering over two dock doors that the wedding cake sat in front of).

to pull a lot of the sheep elements into my baby girl's room. I love how the stuffed sheep match the wall decals so well but cant find chubby stuffed sheep like that anywhere! where did you buy the stuffed sheep?
to have a bit of a shadow (not sure if that is from the light or not). Also, you'll notice the sheep decal sold on the website is only the center one, they must have ordered the side 2 without the words. Hope that helps! :)
dark, but a soft low light will create a soothing environment for them and keep you from bumping into furniture when you stumble into the room in the middle of the night for a feeding.

room. A dark floor also grounds the floor visually, so consider lighter colors above, so the room doesn't feel like a cave. Otherwise, your decor options should be wide and open!
the walls are simple white, quite cold, the floor is a caffe brown, and the wall of the bed is a powder blu, made with
right. a very dark and neutral color make things simple. above all the idea was to keep opportunity to change colors of walls in the future.
I think of flooring like another wall! So if you have the flooring a dark color, your decor options still are vast, you just need to consider the dark color
with a natural plaster, colored with heart powder, without oxid, wax finished
I love this modern take on a canopy.

what is the standard dimension of a stair
Downstairs is a traditional oak floor with black graining. I have chosen for my second floor coincidentally almost the same black bamboo flooring you have used. If I copied your use of black risers and my existing oak tread - will this work.for me? I am thrilled to have found your photo - love it!
combining a light and dark shredded bamboo which gives it the brindle pattern. I believe the product is called Synergy Bamboo.
The I Codes, sec. 1009.1, exception 1 allows stairways serving an occupant load less than 50 (most if not all single family houses!) to be 36" wide. I find this a bit tight
from "A" to "B". Hope that helps!
It is an engineered maple. I will go back through my records and try and get you a make and color.

I have a question on dimensions of banquette and the lighting
I am about to have my builder build me a banquette in my new family room/kitchen. I'm curious about the light under the banquette, is there one on the other side? Does it have a nice effect? Please, how high and deep did you build the banquette
we have a space for a booth and table but it's only 4 feet 9 inches and now it doesn't look big enough to put a table and booth without protruding into the hallway!
building a similar seating, but on a smaller scale?
I am considering a banquette seating of our non-existent dining room. something similar, but just against the wall. Do the seating have storage? Thanks!
don't have a record of the paint colors for this project.

especially for a very dramatic young lady. I selected the pinkest pink I could find (she couldn't get enough of pink - even the sheets are pink!). It's a combination of 60's style and Princess Glam... The feature wall was hand painted and inspired by vintage geometric prints.
you have a lot of colour contrast and lines such as this, it's extremely hard to get a perfectly straight transition line between the colours. A professionally painted room is a joy to behold. It's definitely worth it. Check the references of any painter to be sure you find a good one.
I think if you use the blue tape sold at the paint stores for this purpose, you could do it yourself, But if DIY is not your thing, then follow Cynthia's advice and hire a pro.

scale. A giant floor lamp over a small occasional chair wouldn't work well. However, a larger midcentury ceramic lamp base with a modern drum shade would be awesome next to a big love seat or a sectional. The same goes for tiny table lamps. If your seating is large, look for medium to large lamp bases
Realize that lampshade fabrics are crucial. I often replace the shades lamps come with in favor of ones that look more custom. If you like a more diffused-looking
