The exterior combines gray Lueders Limestone with white stucco from LaHabra and vertical Douglas fir siding. The designs of the guest house (to the left of the main house) and carport (to the right) follow the downward slope of the lot.

choice for exterior applications; takes and holds stain well; beautiful and quite uniform in vertical grain cuts. VG fir is particularly "millable" and holds fine detail well (see the attached custom Simpson Door example). Fir is photo-sensitive and will redden with age and fade in direct sunlight - so keep
