Urns. Generally made of glazed ceramic, large urns are an excellent way to add color and sheen to your landscape. Although they don't typically offer much in the terms of functionality, they do a nice job of adding a punch of color to an otherwise dull corner.
of this urn ties together the colors of the dry grasses, the sand and weathered portions of the wooden fence.
Ocher OutsideA large ocher vase adds color but looks earthy and ancient in a garden setting.

a side garden. You have the element of surprise in your favor. I doubt that many of us would think of placing two huge pedestal urns along a walkway, and then planting them with tropicals and palms that spill over the rim. Off bathroom private gravel garden. Perfect for potting plants

with the urn and the gate, a gravel path moves through the center of this garden, in balance with herbs on both sides. As the path reaches the small, circular focal point, it splits into two matching crescents; they continue around the urn and reconnect on the far side. Adding a circular detail to a straight

have this garden!!! What are the small white flowers around the boxwood in the clay urn? Is it white torenia?
These were urns the client had so we did not purchase them to know the exact dimensions, but I would say they were approximately 28 " high with approx an 18" opening in the pot.

out for garden bugs: Summer is party season for many garden pests and diseases such as spider mites, leaf rollers, aphids, chinch bugs, fleas, ticks, chiggers, grubs, scale, powdery mildew and webworms. Some ornamental plants, such as roses, are especially susceptible to aphids and powdery mildew, so stay

If they aren't causing too much damage, you may opt to leave them be, but if they begin ravaging your tomatoes or ruining your lawn, be sure you identify the pest
