Concrete water trough fountain.
The gravel is a 5/8 "- dark Skagit grey, laid over structural fabric that the edging block is glued to. This keeps it in plane and level. Scott Lankford was the landscape architect for this project and you can check out his Houzz site: .... Thanks for asking ! Dan

Is the formation of the gravel rock permanent and if so with what ?
What kind of gravel was used?
What kind of gravel would be good for a zen garden like this? I love this ok.
The gravel formation is created by raking the gravel material. Also the formation of the lines in it are created by the rake and thus are not permanent. Hope this helps...thank you

Zen Garden pea gravel in dry bed
For the real source of minimalism, we should look to the Zen gardens of Japan. The perfectly placed rocks set in immaculate gravel, raked into swirling patterns, are pure minimalism.Japanese gardens were created in the pursuit of spirital balance, but in the West this has become a garden style.

Love the steps with the pea gravel.
Cool stairs idea. Could use decomposed granite instead of gravel
Gravel steps with broken flagstone treads and rock risers
Stairs- how about putting gravel instead of paving the whole thing. Would use less rocks.

3. Dust and dirt. Bear in mind that driving over gravel can produce more dust than any other type of material. Tell us: Do you have a gravel drive? Share the pros and cons with us below!More:The Ribbon Driveway
