clawfoot Luxor sans the feet? Could this be done with any standard clawfoot tub? (the Luxor is an inch to high for me)
cast iron Luxor tub and there have been no problems with it. This stunning project is on the water here in Connecticut. A good contractor should certainly be able to work with your designs.

natural quartz have the same issues (scratching, staining, etc) as marble? Or is it more duarble like manufactured quartz. Again...google has not revealed the answer.
This is real quartz and not man made and would be priced similar to an upper level marble. It is between granite and marble as far as
particular quartz is softer than granite as far as the fabrication goes but hard once installed. BUT it will show stains a little similar to white marble. The scratches would show on this like any polished stone. It is not as durable as manufactured quartz at all. You would need to treat this like you would
tile is Luxor Grey Limestone from Ann Sacks in a "sticks" mosaic pattern. It's great for dry applications but do not use this type of limestone in showers...it won't hold up (just an fyi).
