anyone who buys the house can make the kitchen any style they want. I was only concerned that a white shaker door could maybe look cheap like that cheap storage furniture, but if these are the shaker style they look amazing. Anyone who reads this please let me know your thought on my thinking.
all to be this color. Do you think this design would work well for a very small kitchen (no eat in area just the kitchen open concept to the living/dining?)
Do you have the manufacturer of the light over the dining room table?
what are the dimensions of the dining area?
I have a dining area adjacent to the island...to the side. I have not picked out a fixture yet. Elsewhere will be can lights. Would 2 18inch be too large?

Hi there, it was from World Market but they don't sell it anymore. Westelm have a similar one, it's called the "Emmerson" dining table.
Attempt to brighten all that dark woodwork with light furniture
This dining room has a great mix. Arts and Crafts paneling and details, mid-century modern Eames Eiffiel Chairs, a more contemporary take on a farmhouse table, all topped and lit by the Maskros.

Hi White Falcon, just check with your varnish supplier that it'll be appropriate for floors (rather than furniture) and details on how to apply. Whichever product you use, it'll most likely need a few coats with sanding in between to get a decent finish. Good luck.
and cheap flooring idea. OSB (or plywood) well-sealed.
OSB flooring nice and cheap and a look that could work in some contemporary spaces. Search osb to see it used as walling with it lightly painted white for a textured effect.

Who is the manufacturer of the dining room table? Thanks..beautiful room
Where are the dining chairs from?
Area Rugs, the Kathy Ireland collection. I have one in front of my couch under a glass top table in the family room, and my sister has one in her dining room under the table and chairs. It really adds warmth to the room, plus saves your flooring in these busy areas.
what about hard flooring & a big cheap rug? can replace when dirty? yeh, looks good... but find a big cheap rug, the size of dining room may be a battle??
wall with fireplace dividing to dining room
Leave breathing room between rug and wall. A large rug should leave at least 8 inches between it and the wall. A good rule of thumb in a dining room is to keep 18 inches of flooring uncovered around the perimeter of the room to showcase your rug and make your room feel larger. This will also assure

The use of the pallets is great, and could be applied to other pieces of furniture!
