Would like to know the make and manufacturer of the windows and doors.
The windows are from Pella. They are solid wood with an aluminum clad exterior . The interior was site painted and the exterior is black aluminum from Pella

raised stoop at the back of the home created a visual and physical barrier to the backyard. A mudroom with no connection to the outdoors also prevented direct access. After the space was stripped to the studs, Beauparlant relocated the basement stairs to this part of the house. Now the kitchen has backyard

The windows were made by Sierra Pacific Windows. Some of the doors were hand-built by a craftsman in Joseph, Oregon.
The natural light from 3 directions is very nice. I also like the exposed structure ceiling.

Was the window bench a DIY?
I see a vent beneath the window bench - was this something that you can describe how to do? We are trying to figure out how to redirect the vent beneath our baby's window to allow for a bench. Thanks for any help!
This was definitely not a DIY project. I'm an interior designer and to direct the venting properly you should hire an HVAC person.
