Do you have any furniture?

This picture must have started another thread. I have pictures and more explanation of the rooms involved in another thread. Here are pictures of my old home, 24 feet by 13, as well as of my dining room.

And more pictures of the new room. The room gets a north light.

Are you able to face the sofa toward the FP? I'd try to avoid lining up the furniture along the walls. It will feel cozier for you.

Thank you for the suggestion. Will the color be too gray for a north light? I will try to put the sofa opposite the fireplace as you suggest. We are removing carpet this week end and will see what we need to do to make the floor look good.

Revere Pewter is a great nuetral, that is a warm gray, so it works in many different light situations. You still should get a poster board and paint it, then move it around the room to see the different light.

Look at the color in the previous link, and under the swatch are some photos of rooms with that color in it.

I do not care for gray in this room - think you should go with a warmer color.
