Help! Trying to avoid a mistake.

I am about to have French 12 X 24 Limestone installed on my shower walls. The limestone is only 1/4" thick and several already have cracks before being installed. What thickness of limestone did you use on the walls? Still love this design!

Thanks, limestone wall tiles were probably 3/8", limestone slabs were 3/4"
