Do you bring the RP though the entrance and staircase as well as the entire guest floor. Our new house has one wall connecting entrance,stairs, DR and LR

i absolutely love RP and think its a beautiful and neutral color for an open floor plan. however i'm having trouble picking out a couch color that would work well with my RP walls. The room has a lot of light so i know the walls will not be as dark as this photo. the floors are wide plank with a hint of redish mahogany. my first thought is to go with ivory or light couches but that's not practical, i would love a darker color couch would a toffee color couch work? thanks!

Michael we went with RP and it looks amazing will post pictures once the furniture is in but here is an example on entranceway (second floor is old color )
