can a wall mirror be reused?

cherilee01June 3, 2014
A large panel of mirror (beveled) was carefully removed from our wall during a remodeling project. Its in perfect condition and my contractor thinks it can be rehung on the wall, keeping the old glue intact. The glass place we went to said we shouldn't reuse it. Any thoughts?

Usually as a smaller piece of mirror.

I think this has a good deal to do with the old glue left on the back of a large mirror. I reused old large bathroom mirrors, cut smaller as dytecture says, for decorative backing in a hutch. They've been fine for 20 years.
