Can the exterior of this house be modernized?

Can the exterior of this house be changed so that it looks more modern or is it hopeless? What do you think it would cost? Some options:
- Repaint just the siding
- Repaint stucco and siding
- Paint or restain the wooden accents
- Stain some stones
- Remove and rebuild stone
Considerations:
- HOA limits our options. Modern variants nearby have gray paint/stone already. Stucco veneer over stone probably wouldn't fly.
- Paint is elastomeric over stucco. Not sure if we can paint over it or if we'd need to remove it first.
